With a legacy rooted in craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to quality, Harney & Sons Tea has become synonymous with exceptional tea blends.

The company’s offerings span a diverse spectrum, from classic black teas to exotic herbal infusions. But does it truly live up to the lofty expectations set by its reputation? Is Harney & Sons Tea good? Or is it another overpriced brand cashing in on its name?

Harney & Sons is renowned for its unwavering commitment to sourcing high-quality tea leaves from prestigious estates across the globe. The emphasis on using whole tea leaves, as opposed to dust or fannings, typically yields a richer and more nuanced flavor profile.

Offering classic staples as well as innovative and unexpected combinations, Harney & Sons crafts each variety to deliver a unique and enjoyable drinking experience.

As of 2018, the company had donated nearly $4 million to 1% for the Planet.

Is Harney & Sons Tea Good?

Harney & Sons tea is a step up from the usual teas you’d find in most grocery stores, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed their offerings.

The teas from Harney & Sons have a depth and richness that make them stand out. Plus, the array of options is impressive – it’s a treasure trove of options waiting to be explored.

Browse their website and you’ll undoubtedly stumble upon some excellent teas at fair prices. This is a budget-friendly way for you to delve into better tea without emptying your wallet on higher-priced gourmet options.

That said, there’s a level above that Harney & Sons hasn’t quite reached.

Teas from higher-end brands like Mariage Freres and other specialty stores have an extra layer of complexity and sophistication that sets them apart. Those teas offer an experience of luxury. Harney & Sons, though very good, doesn’t completely measure up.

Overall, Harney & Sons strikes a balance between being a noticeable upgrade from everyday grocery-store teas and falling just short of more exclusive, gourmet tea experiences.

It’s easy to see why – for many consumers – Harney & Sons is a go-to for reliable, quality tea without breaking the bank.
